Please READ. DO not attend to Summit Osmosis system presentation or buy product. Scam System!!!!

Hello all...

Recently few members of community in Mississauga have attended presentations held by Summit Osmosis Systems. They are a water filtration company who work under a pyramid scheme. They entice people by claiming members earn 4000 dollars+ per week or month without any immediate investment. What people forget to understand is after 6 months you will be paying 3200 dollars or 5500 dollars with interest. Financing companies will come after you and you will not be able to get rid of a huge debt easily.

This is a scam, the water filtration unit they sell is not even worth HALF of 3200 dollars. It's total value is 300 dollars MAX.

PEOPLE beware...after 6 months financing companies will come after you for their 3200 dollars. If you do not pay you will be paying a heavy interest rate.

Please stay away. Stay away.

Depression is all I got from this Summit Osmosis water filtration system after I was recruited to join this company. It happened so fast that I regret signing a contract without reading it first. I only found out whats written in the contract that I signed when I call the company if I can return the water filtration system anyway, it was not installed and never used but Laurie, whoever she was, said that we are given 10 DAYS to return the product which is ridiculus for that expensive thing, for me, 10 days is too short, we are not given enough time for the thing to return in case we are not satisfied.
Its like, we are forced to pay it wether we like it or not, period. I got more depressed finding out that I signed credit application
and agreement with Nelson Finance co. meaning we dont pay directly to SUMMIT OSMOSIS but to the lending co. with 29.9% interest per annum....its killing me softly.
A lesson too expensive and with interest....B E W A R E

July 2008 I signed a contract to be an independent direct distributor of Summit Osmosis Systems. I was told by Patricia who worked in there Markham office around Woodbine/Steeles area that I had 6 months to get few people to purchase the water system and/or become an indepedent direct disturbutor and I wouldn't have to pay for the water system that was being financed.

I was told that within 6 months if I don't get those people or I have no interest in there water system I could return the water system back and would have to pay $100 fee. When I contacted the office in Dec and spoke to reception in the Mississauga office they told me the Markham office was closed because there business practices.

After emailing Laurie Lemay (vice president) of Summit Osmosis and explaining my dealings with the Markham he reaction to the situation was unbelieveable. She was very rude and cunning.

Before your ever sign a contract make sure whatever the person tells you verbally is also written on the contract. Beware of pyramid scheme companies like Summit

Last May, a new 'friend' of mine came to me, very excited about a new opportunity she was participating in. She raved about it and claimed that she had already made $9,000 and that her friend who introduced her to it had already made over $16,000, in just a few short weeks. Had it not been for her rave review, I would have been extremely skeptical and would not have fallen for the scheme, which involved purchasing a water filtration system for $3,000 in order to get involved, and then inviting people to presentations where the product would theoretically sell itself. They had a very attractive pay structure. I should have realized it was a 'too good to be true' deal, but alas, I am naive - plus, my 'friend' was LYING about the money she and her friend had supposedly made at this game.

Well, it was pretty easy to justify becoming part of the scheme because with financing, I had six months of no interest and no payments - PLENTY of time to get 6 people to buy the system and earn back the money for my own system. Except, most people aren't as stupid as I am, and I didn't get anywhere with it except SCREWED. Now I am several months behind in payments on the thing - which, incidentally, I never took out of the box - and my credit is ruined. Summit Osmosis Systems will not accept the product back; they give their customers only three days to change their minds (not nearly enough time to figure out that the whole thing is a crock).

Even if I hadn't gotten caught up in the pyramid scheme, the fact that they charge $3,000 for their system is questionable at best. The filters must be replaced at least yearly, for about $200. The system itself may be decent quality - I did really like the water - however, I think the price they charge is over the top.

BEWARE Summit Osmosis is now going by the name of SOS Water Systems. I had no other choice but to buy replacement filters for $200 another big mistake after having spent $3,000 on the system. After putting in the new filters, the whole system does not work and now they tell me to replace the ceramic filter with a string filter. That means the entire purpose of the filter is defeated as they boasted about the 'Royal Doulton' ceramic filter. I think we all need to take this organisation to court and get back some of our losses. I will be seeking legal help. Another sad thing is that we intended to help the sales man Wesley from Bombay and did not realize that Wesley in turn did not reveal the true picture about filter replacements, he was out to scam us on the other hand.

I hope this gets printed, as I'm in the same situation. I never knew that the form was a Legal Contract as I wasn't told that it was. I thought it was only an application. I signed up for this 26th July 2008.

I realized that this wasn't for me as I was not into sales/marketing. All I wanted was a way to keep my apt. as I was going to lose it because of having my income cut by wsib. I had to move out of the apt. Oct. 2008 and the people who helped me move took it back to the company. I enclosed a letter in the box for the manager. He told my fried who returned it back for me to contact the Lending company about it. I really thought that the manager would contact the Lending company to let them know that it had been returned. After that I moved north of Mississauga. I contacted the company by email and received 2 responses from Laurie LeMay who is V.P. Administration according to her email.

They have put an amount of $5,803 on my credit file and I was told by the Credit office that is was put on there Feb. 2009 and will stay there until 2015. The woman at the Lending company who I spoke to on Oct.8th 2009 Elizabeth was very rude to me. I had to also change my number as she was calling me several times a day.

Legal Aid will not help with this, as you have to see a lawyer about this. A consultation is Free, and you can see 2-3 lawyers for advice. I'm not working and therefore cannot afford a lawyer. I have printed this document out and will go to a Higher Source in the company. The first thing they do when you're looking for an apt. is check your credit, and now I've had this on mine since Feb.2009.

If I had've been told that the application I signed was a Legal Contract instead of an application, I wouldn't have signed it in the first place and walked out, but I wasn't told.

There is something you can do about this company Summit Osmosis at 1020 Brevik Pl. Mississauga, ON. If everyone of you would take this matter to the Media and all the TV Stations as well as City TV with SILVERMAN Helps, and if all of you would let him know what has happened then he will take this matter into his own hands. You can either write to him or send a letter of your complaint. If nobody does anything about this and sits and waits for somebody else to do, nothing will get done, and your Credit Record will be wrecked for the next 6 yrs.

Are there anyone who has purchased this unit willing to go with a class action suit against the credit card company and summit osmosis. As it was confirmed that the credit card company deliberately turned people down who they know would have earned their $4500.

You need a Lawyer to have this seen to, and its not even worth that amount of money. They have a Collections Office in Pickering in the east end and the woman I spoke to her name is Elizabeth and what a Nasty Person she was. Its Wrecked my credit and will stay on my credit file until 2015 and I can't take it off. I can't even get a credit card with this hanging over my head. For me: this was learn the hard way.

Did anyone here filed a complaint against this company?

I was told it was a legal document by that Laurie LeMay who is not the Vice President. She's the V.P. Administrator. They don't tell you at the presentation that the form is a legal contract. It just looks like an application form. BEWARE of this.

They have "Wrecked" my credit with Equifax and it will stay on your credit file for 6 years. Every month, or every so often they will keeping adding monies on your Credit File. Mine is well over $6,000 now. You will never be approved for any kind of credit until this is Deleted in 6 years.

I didn't think the application was a Legal document, as they never told me. If they had've told me that, I would've just walked out.

I had to learn the hard way. Always read everything before you sign any documents. I had to learn the "Hard Way".

Yes, i was one of those who got scammed by this SOS or summit osmosis system. I bought the system i think on 2008 and i was told that it was $3,200.00. Like the rest i signed papers as proof of purchased as well as asked for a void cheque upon installing the system. i visited the place on Brevick, miss. just to find out notice on door "out of business". Never told about Financing Co. i never realized this financing co. was taking out money directly fr. my act. until 2012 one day i went online banking and i noticed a Nelson Financing Co. was continously withdrawing money every month. Me and my husband were so shocked as we're not aware who the hell is nelson. We found out this fin. co. had been taking out money fr. our act. since long time ago. immediately we call the bank and stopped the payment and investigate who was nelson. couple of days bank called back and informed us that I did sign a contract w/ SOS authorizing nelson as a financing co. There's a lot of tensions bet. me and my husband.
also i need to change the filters once a yr. fr. SOS plus installation fee for a total of $140.00.

Then another scam. Last yr. we found out that our basement cieling was leaking and we realized that some of the filters were not connected properly bec.it's not the same products and the system and the filters were not matching so it' causing slow leakage till our sink's cabinet got ruined, the carpet and the ceiling of the basement. I didn't realize that not all 5 filters were SOS made! now we can't use the system unless we call water filter technician. We need to be serious about this matter.
